My career path took an unexpected but wonderful turn. I earned my Bachelor's in Education from Oral Roberts University, and teaching remains my first love. What drew me to join our family business was the opportunity to work alongside my husband, Shawn, and our daughters. I genuinely enjoy helping others, whether that's our clients or our team members.
I handle global management of our firm, overseeing everything from compliance and scheduling to client servicing, communication, HR, marketing, and planning and executing client events. This broad scope keeps every day interesting and allows me to support both the business operations and the people who make it run.
I grew up on Lake of the Ozarks in a little town called Laurie. My grandparents owned a lakeside resort next to where we lived, complete with cabins, fishing, and boating docks. Those years filled my childhood with wonderful memories of our part of the lake. We still live at Lake of the Ozarks, though now we're closer to our office in Osage Beach, specifically in Linn Creek. I grew up on the west side, the quieter side, but this area is busier with many restaurants, attractions, and a larger population. It's beautiful with lots to do while maintaining that small town feel. You'll find plenty of restaurants and businesses, mostly family-owned rather than large chains.
Shawn and I met at college and have been married for almost 30 years, having married at 19. We have four daughters and one son-in-law, Noah, who joined our family business this year after graduating with a double major in Sports Management and Finance. Working together with family is something I treasure. Any time we spend together, whether hanging out at home, spending time outdoors, or traveling, is always special.
I enjoy any time with my family, hiking, exploring history, and traveling. My daughter Sophia and I love volunteering with the Changing Table, a local organization that assists families with diaper needs in the area.
